These unique threader earrings are carefully handcrafted from brass and sterling silver. Their botanical shapes resemble leaves or seaweed.
They are graceful, unusual, lightweight and comfortable to wear. My own contemporary version of the ancient tradition of using nature as an inspiration for jewelry design.
The plant-like shapes are cut by hand from 0.7 mm brass sheet that had previously been carefully textured by hand.
They are then filed and, finally, soldered onto their sterling silver stalks. the mixed metal combination of oxidized silver and brass creates a beautiful contrast between black and gold.
