Edgy darkish hoops which will add definite mysterious elegance to any outfit. Inspired by the botanical world, their hand sawed shapes are reminiscent of holy leaves or nettles. They have been hand crafted from copper with sterling silver ear wires. They close convieniently and are easy to wear.
Both metals have been oxidized to a dark colour, the silver to black and the copper to a deep brown, purplish almost black- rather like aubergine henna. They have been left unpolished.

The patina is protected with a special museum wax, which is imperceptible but protects against changes to the metal due to the environment. In my experience, oxidized copper turn darker, almost black, with time.

Should you like these earrings but would prefer them brushed or polished, please let me know. Alternately, I can make this design in brass or sterling silver...
